Engagement Photos at Montaña de Oro State Park

Gabby & TJ’s engagement photos at Montaña de Oro State Park are the perfect example of just how amazing California is for any kind of session!

We did their engagement session at Montaña de Oro State Park back in the fall, when the weather was perfect and that dreamy Cali golden hour was ever-present. This state park is a stunning place for any California adventure elopement, wedding, or engagement. It features all kinds of cliffs, beaches, canyons, streams, hills. . . you name it! And the way the sun sets over the mountains is everything you could want for your engagement photos.

Montaña de Oro State Park provides all sorts of scenery for anybody who visits. If you’re a hiker, there’s plenty of hikes for you to choose from, including the Bluff Trail and the Valencia Peak Trail! One of the most popular tide beaches to visit here is Spooner’s Cove, which is a gorgeous area where you can explore tide pools and wade in the water. Fun fact: you can also go camping at Montaña de Oro State Park, so if you want to do your engagement session here, make a trip out of it and spend a night under the stars afterward!

And talk about cute as heck outfits - Gabby wore a few gorgeous outfits with red and orange tones that popped perfectly against the greenery, mountains, and the beach at sunset! TJ’s jackets went perfectly with the tones of the scenery. So if you’re needing outfit inspiration, take notes from these two!

All in all, this was such a gorgeous session with Gabby & TJ, exploring the state park together. Engagement sessions are truly my favorite. You have time to be playful, soak in all the moments, and reminisce about how it all began, and to just focus on each other! I can’t wait for these two to be married soon!
