Melissa & Kenneth rocked this Todos Santos Mexico wedding styled shoot!

I attended a StyledYou retreat in Mexico recently and it was exactly what I needed to start off the new year! This team of badass women always delivers - I got to learn so much and create so much amazing content, starting off with this stunning styled Todos Santos wedding that I’m so excited to share. First, I’ll give ya a little background info on the location!

The Venue: Pachamama Mexico Yoga Retreat

For this retreat, we all stayed at the Pachamama Yoga Retreat in Todos Santos, Mexico. It’s a yoga retreat and boutique hotel that you can use for group retreats or rent out for certain events. They’ve got stunning luxury villas as well as adobe teepees for lodging, and you definitely cannot beat the views of the coast you get while staying there! Seriously a dream spot for the next time you need a little vacation.

The Town: Todos Santos, Mexico

Todos Santos is on the Pacific coast of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, and is vibrant with art, beaches, and culture. You’ve got ocean, deserts, mountains. . . what more could you ask for when visiting Mexico?

The Destination Wedding in Todos Santos

Now let’s get into the styled wedding shoot we did with Melissa & Kenneth! These two were a total dream to work with: naturals in front of the camera, so in love, and SO dang stunning.

Melissa rocked a simple spaghetti strap, satin gown from Flora Bridal, and paired it with accessories to make her outfit pop! She wore some of the coolest earrings I’ve ever seen - huge beige fringe earrings that drew allll the attention to her face. The bouquet that Good Seed Floral put together for her was filled with simple whites and greens, palm leaves, and accentuated with a light pink silk ribbon hanging down.

Kenneth wore one of my favorite suits I’ve photographed, a light sage green suit with a white undershirt. Colored suits are totally underrated and these photos are the perfect example of that!

“Day-After” Couples Session

Aside from photographing Melissa & Kenneth in a wedding setting, we did a couples session that resembles a “day-after” session! A day-after session is a couples session the day after your wedding where you & your partner have more alone time to capture just the two of you. You can get into your wedding gear and get more wedding photos, or make it a super fun couples session - whatever you want to do! Day-after sessions are so much fun because, especially if you have lots of wedding guests, they give you the chance to be alone with each other and get more photos of you in your element, after all the big stuff has happened and now you can relax.

Melissa and Kenneth were just as fun to photograph outside of their wedding outfits! We first photographed them in the cutest light blue Volkswagen van - perfect for lots and lots of snuggles. Then we moved to a little more editorial-style shoot, with Melissa and James lounging by the pool, reading magazines, rocking sunglasses, and finally, jumping into the water! It was such a blast and was such a carefree, relaxed session with these two that perfectly depicts why day-after sessions are the best. Definitely talk to me about adding that onto your wedding package! ;)
